Local Is National

Think that reading about some local latrino DUI killing someone in western NC is out of place? Nope. Happens everywhere:

INDEPENDENCE TWP. -- As second shift Flint police officers donned "mourning bands" in honor of one of their own killed in a traffic crash Sunday, a Brandon Township man was charged in the case.

Family and friends of Flint police Officer Vincent D'Anna watched grimly as Ramon Felix Pineda, 25, of Brandon Township was arraigned before Clarkston District Judge Kelley Kostin about 4 p.m. today.

Pineda faces charges of second-degree murder, operating while intoxicated causing death, leaving the scene of an accident causing death and driving while license suspended.

The off-duty officer was pinned under the car and dragged about 70 feet before the driver allegedly jumped out and tried to run from the scene.

Pineda also admitted sneaking into the country from Mexico 10 years ago and using a false identification when arrested, Ahearn told the judge

So, yet another third world mud has sneaked into the nation and killed someone. For what? So you could have your stinking dollar menu? These things go unnoticed. Were the cops to go after mestizo chicken fighting and show how widespread it is, the uproar would be tremendous. DUI murders? Violent crimes? Yawn, says the average Kwan as he picks up the remote to see who got kicked off the island this week, or evicted from the BB house.

Several 'Bin Laden' options have been placed. On S&P dropping 30-50%, European markets and Japanese. Someone is betting big on catastrophe.
